@Sriram: Nope, the Brahma kamala looks this way.. Its a white flower. This flower in the photo have a great fragrance too.

Oops! Sriram beat me to that question! Is it the Brahma Kamalam, Veena? Y'know, it's also called the 'Star of Bethlehem' by Christians.

Never heard about it. But i know some leave are favorite of shiva ( it comes in shivaratri and a thief story )

@bachodi: You are talking about 'Bilva patre', I have held this flower on top of the Bilva patre but when I wanted to take the picture, I focused more on the flower. It was too dark inside the temple(Nanjangud) so the photo looks dull!
@Mysorean: Good comment, I should find out some details about the taxonomy of this flower & know more about it.
