Recently I attended a program & I was so impressed by this personality.
National college Alumini's must know more about him.

His name is G. Ramakrishna. I was impressed by the whole personality, the way he carried himself, on stage, off the stage. I got a chance to personally converse with him & he was very jovial too.
few things need not have much details , its kind of 'Love of first sight'...

Coincidently, he did speak about this language thing, he said this
Many a times we end up learning the language rather than the subject. If he is a economics professor we need have to evaluate his language skills but need to understand how much he knows about his subject. Now-a-days , its has become our habit to evaluate how he converse rather than what he knows about it... English is just a medium to communicate !

Corporate guys calls it as Presentation skills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Very True Veena,

Dr GR's words were ringing in my mind long after the program was through. My mother very fondly remembers his classes , and the association with him during her college days. Hats off to this great gentleman.

His simplicity was something amazing.

Hi Veena, what you said reminds me of an experience of Sir Winston Churchill, about which he said that it's not important to read 1001 books and boast to the world that you have done so.
But what matters is how many of those books cast a strong impression on your mind, that you remember the words they contained long, long after you've read it!

GR was our English teacher.. he would come in a white shirt and panche... His English was impeccable and he would NOT tolerate us taking any liberties with the language...

@Vijay: amzingly, he never seem to endorse such things when he speaks. He keeps such a low profile, that impressed me a lot.

Nice photo. Reminds me of my own teacher Mr.Ramaiah. (St.Joseph's College). A great teacher. A great personality. His english impeccable.
btw- which National College?. Basavanagudi or Jayanagar?
