Veena Shivanna from Bengalooru, IndiaEmail from Kesari uncle Now, about visualizing the shape of mountains. We flew Nikon Airline plane for "Himalaya Darshan" a few years back from Khatmandu airport & Back. The mammoth size of the towering Mt. Everest was frightening! - as we saw the "Himavantha" when we flew a thousand feet above Namche Bazar. We had to look up bending our necks! We saw " Gauri Shankar " twice as we flew up and down the route. Gowri peak is a rounded smooth peak with white `avagunThan' of smooth white snow. Right by her side stood her husband Shanker with sharp 'jaTa-jooTaa' - a black craggy rocky sharp peak, which stood taller than Gowri. amma, it was a perfect pictire of husband and wife! I laid my video camera down on a seat in plane and bowed down to send my most humble namaskaara to the great mountain couple. Gouri & Shanker really stood like a couple to be photographed! It is in a vedio tape in my collection! You can watch the same when you visit us. - Kesari Pejathaya 24 Apr 2007 3:56am TSSM from India'a trek in the himalayas, ' namma janma saarthaka ' 24 Apr 2007 11:40am @TSSM: good idea! dip in the holy waters is tough to me..
